Policy
What supporters get
A contribution is a voluntary payment to support SigmaShake. It goes to the item that you choose. You get a public credit on that item after approval. You do not get goods, equity, a license, or a financial return. A contribution is not tax-deductible. SigmaShake is not a charity.
Approval of credits
After you pay, you can add a display name, a note, and an image. The operator reviews each credit. A credit shows only after approval. The operator can reject or hide a credit. Images must be PNG, JPEG, or WebP and at most 2 MiB.
Refunds
To ask for a refund, contact SigmaShake through sigmashake.com and give the item and the date of your payment. The operator refunds through Stripe. A full refund hides your credit. The refund goes to the card that paid.
Overflow
You can fund any amount from $1 up to the remaining cost. When less than $1 remains, the last contribution is $1. If an item is overfunded or retired, the extra goes to the next open item on the list.
Privacy
The public sees the display name, the note, and the image of an approved credit. The public also sees the funded amount and the count of funders of each item. SigmaShake does not store your email address or your card data. Stripe processes the payment. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Data retention
SigmaShake keeps a payment record (amount, item, status, and time) to show the funding of the item. It keeps a credit until you ask for removal or the operator hides it. To remove a credit, contact SigmaShake.
